Ric Maddox
Ric made his big screen debut on Paramount Pictures’ “Stop-Loss” where he played an ARMY Lieutenant opposite Timothy Olyphant and Ryan Phillippe. The film’s director, Kimberly Peirce, commented to Maddox following his shoot, “You are a fine actor, and I know you are going to go very far in this business.”

Currently Maddox is on his second year continuing his Meisner technique training at Playhouse West furthering his craft under the coaching of Tony Savant and Holly Gagnier along with Improv with Jim Nieb. In addition, Ric is in preproduction for his period western short “Bexar Territory”, which Ric wrote and will make his directorial debut. To his credit, Maddox has made Television appearances on “Criminal Minds”, “The Young and The Restless”, “Days of Our Lives,” and most recently “House M. D.” as Officer Durkee. Ric will also be briefly touring the southwest this summer promoting his new Period Western feature “Mattie” where Maddox plays the lead role of Jacob Fulton alongside the wonderful actress Kaylee DeFer. Touted by his peers for a relentless work ethic, commitment to the craft and a drive to succeed; this actor’s ability to transform into each character he portrays makes him an asset to any production.

Maddox attended high school in his hometown of Pleasanton, Texas, where he enjoyed extracurricular activities including rodeo, football and baseball. Following graduation, Maddox enlisted in the United States Army and trained to be a sniper at Fort Carson in Colorado Springs, CO. He had one deployment to Iraq during his tour of active duty. There, he earned the Iraq Service Ribbon, Army Service Ribbon, Armed Forces Expeditionary Medal, Five Army Achievement Medals including the prestigious Expert Infantry Badge.

Following his tour of duty, Maddox briefly attended the University of Texas, San Antonio and Austin Community College and dabbled in performing arts before moving to New York City. There he secured a coveted spot in the Stella Adler conservatory, studying under the likes of Zoe Caldwell, Earl Gister, and Frank Langella to name a few. Langella said, “You remind me a lot of myself as a young actor,” and remarked that Maddox was among the best students he ever taught.

Currently residing in the Burbank area of California, Maddox actively makes use of his spare time surfing, riding horses, Dirtbiking, working out, practicing Yoga and spending time with his big ol’ lovable Canary Dog Lawrence.
